Webhook Gateway

A system endpoint that receives HTTP notifications from external services when events occur, allowing Verabase to react to events in your CRM, helpdesk, or custom software in real time.

Technical definition

A webhook gateway is an HTTP endpoint that accepts POST requests from external systems, validates their authenticity (via signature verification or API keys), parses the event payload, and routes the event to the appropriate internal handler. This enables event-driven integration with any software that supports outbound webhooks, without requiring Verabase to poll external APIs.

How Verabase uses Webhook Gateway

Verabase's Webhook Gateway is available under Settings → Integrations. It provides a unique URL per organization that accepts HTTP POST events from any external system. You can configure event rules that map incoming webhook payloads to Verabase actions — for example, 'When a Stripe subscription is cancelled, update the customer's context in all AI agents.' For standard CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.), webhooks are configured automatically during setup.

Why it matters for support teams

Not every tool has a native integration. The Webhook Gateway lets you connect any software to Verabase — your billing system, your internal tools, your custom backend — using standard HTTP. This makes Verabase extensible without waiting for native integration development. For engineering teams, it's the fastest path to automation.
